I was born in Seoul, Korea. My major in college is Korean language and linguistics. I have two MAs on early Ch'an Buddhism in China and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy at Seoul National University and the University of Virginia, respectively; I received Ph.D. at the same university and got the job at Stockton University in 2013. Since then, I teach Buddhist philosophy, Indian philosophy, Asian philosophy, Introduction to Philosophy, the History of Tea, and so forth. I am currently working on a critical edition of 12th century Tibetan manuscript with a scholar at Austrian Academy of Science.
