Minkyung Choi, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Literacy in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Montclair State University. Her research interests include literacy instruction in P-16 settings and specifically, developing students’ reading and writing using a disciplinary literacy framework. Min has collaborated with UNICEF USA and the Obama Foundation and has worked on storytelling initiatives for children, refugee youth, and emerging youth leaders, and she is also the recipient of a Mellon Foundation and a Library of Congress grant that seeks to expand Asian American history in K-12 curriculum. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, the Journal of College Reading and Learning, and the International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education.
