Rasmeet represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation, as well as internal investigations and white collar criminal defense matters. Rasmeet enjoys being in the courtroom and has handled trials in both state and federal court. Outside of the courtroom, she conducts internal corporate investigations and has successfully represented individuals and companies in government investigations, including SEC and state attorneys general matters.
Rasmeet’s courtroom experience extends to bankruptcy cases. She litigates all phases of bankruptcy matters, including the investigation of potential claims and causes of action through Rule 2004 examinations and the commencement of adversary proceedings on behalf of committees and liquidating trusts. Rasmeet has handled trials and appeals in adversary proceedings, as well as participated in lengthy confirmation hearings.
Strongly committed to pro bono work, Rasmeet has secured multiple final restraining orders for domestic violence victims and obtained asylum for a father/son pair separated at the border through the firm’s partnerships with Partners for Women and Justice and Kids in Need of Defense. She has also successfully argued an appeal of a final restraining order before the New Jersey Appellate Division.
In addition, Rasmeet is involved in the local community: she serves as a Director of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey and is currently a member of its Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee. She also serves on the board of the Summit Speech School, which serves children with hearing loss.
