Sachiko came from Japan after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Japan Women’s College of Physical Education. With her Master of Physical Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, she practiced Physical Therapy in an acute care hospital over a decade. She has taught as an adjunct faculty and Instructor at Thomas Jefferson University, University of Medicine and Dentistry in NJ, and Temple University and after receiving her PhD program from Temple University in 2004, she joined Georgian Court University (GCU) in Lakewood, NJ. She currently serves as the Chair/Associate Professor in Department of Integrative Health & Exercise Science and Director of Advising. She teaches and presents at regional and national professional conferences on various topics in Integrative Health. She is a Board-Certified Tai Chi for Rehabilitation Instructor by Tai Chi for Health Institute, National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and an ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Most recently, she received Virginia Graham Teaching Excellence Award at GCU.
