Sean Hewitt is the Director of the Center for Civic Engagement at Drew University, a private liberal arts institution (located in Madison, NJ) that ensures every student graduates with a purpose, sought-after transferable skills, a network of mentors, and an experience-based résumé—guaranteed. An experienced nonprofit director, mentor, and community advocate, His experience comprises nonprofit capacity building, youth development, holistic wellness with marginalized, under-resourced populations, and advocating for equitable access to prosperity for all learners.
In addition to having over twenty (20) years of nonprofit management and community advocacy experience, Hewitt has facilitated several dialogues on youth leadership, business ethics, cultural competency within education and public health, wellness, and community engagement in university and industry settings. He is responsible for several civic engagement and social-emotional leadership development programs at Drew University, serving over 200 students. His advocacy extends to collaborating with public and private sector agencies and healthcare providers to support underrepresented youth and families. These relationships include Board of Director positions in several county-wide and local organizations.
