Sheila has a diverse 30+-year career spanning corporate, agency and consultant work focused on internal and external comms, strategic planning, leadership communications training and coaching, and diversity consulting across various industries. At Taft, Sheila works with a variety of clients in many of the aforementioned areas, serves as focus area lead for Taft’s DEI communications sector, and leads Taft ClearPoint, a leadership communications practice that helps to strengthen communications skills of individuals and teams. Sheila brings experience and an innate ability to trainings in presentation skills, handling media interviews, emotional intelligence, executive presence, writing skills and other aspects of the “constant conversation” essential to success. Prior to Taft, Sheila was vice president of consulting at DiversityInc and vice president of corporate communications for Jackson Hewitt, the nation’s second largest tax preparation service, where she was corporate spokesperson, led national communications programs, managed brand reputation and crisis communications, led diversity and inclusion initiatives, and conducted media and communications training for franchise owners. Sheila has a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from Syracuse University.
